What to Expect

What to Expect

Imagine what life could be like if you could get on the same page with your loved ones and enjoy each other the way you used to at the beginning of your relationship.

Step 1: Reach out!

Contact me via email with any questions or concerns.

I will always answer if I am free.  If I am not available, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Step 2: Phone call

Via email, text, or the phone, we can set up a time to chat. This is free and usually takes just a few minutes. I have a handful of important questions I will ask you to make sure I’m a good fit for you.

By the end of this call, you should have a pretty good idea whether you’d like to work with me. If you’d like to move forward, we can set up the initial intake session.

Step 3: Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is an intake session. I strive to make sure you leave that first session with some answers and a plan.

Step 4: Find your “slot.”

The best results are obtained by those who are committed to this process and attend sessions weekly.

In return for your commitment, I will hold you a regular session time out of respect for your schedules (except of course in emergencies or extenuating circumstances). I have early evening appointments available to accommodate your busy schedule..

Step 5: Get to Work!

We will work together to improve your situation to your satisfaction.

Sometimes, I will be teaching you new skills, providing insight, and leading the structure of the session.

Other times, I am your tour guide through the process towards healing and health. Leading you into murky waters for you to find your own answers and solutions.

And then other times, I am just your partner in the mess. A trusted associate, providing safety and companionship, as we sort through the muck together. I won’t always have ALL the answers. But we will be in it together as we find them.

We will continuously evaluate your progress and make adjustments as needed. You are free to end therapy whenever you feel ready.

A deeper look at individual and couples counseling

Individual Counseling

As humans, we naturally invest in what we care about. We take our cars to the mechanic if something sounds off. We go to the doctor for our annual physicals. In the same way, regular checking in with a counselor can protect your mental and emotional health.

In our safe and comfortable environment, we can work through:

  • Trauma/PTSD
  • Self-acceptance
  • Finding your purpose
  • Forgiveness
  • Anger, Shame & Guilt
  • Boundaries
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief
  • Faith and Spiritual Growth
  • Depression, sadness and more

As with all growth, there may be times of discomfort, but the benefit you will gain as you learn to live your best life will be well worth the challenge.

  • Couples Counseling

Every couple has its ups and downs. Relationships get messy and we don't always see things eye-to-eye. Sometimes these problems go on for so long that it is difficult to imagine how your relationships can be improved. The good news is that, with your desire to make it better, it can be!

Through couples counseling, you can overcome the feelings of distance, the fear of divorce or break-ups, and the hurts of disloyalty or affairs. Instead, learn to:

  • Feel loved and secured
  • Trust each other
  • Show affection
  • Discuss differences in healthy ways
  • Have fun together
  • Know each other intimately

Don't waste any more time going in circles. Call today for a free 15-minute consultation on the phone.

  • Get in Touch

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, I'd be happy to talk to you for a free 15-minute consultation. I have early evening appointments available to accommodate your busy schedule.
